Loving God makes Hell & it's minions interested in you

So this is how we know we are in the faith, if the world, or worldy people are frustrated with us, I'm guessing we must being doing something right.  If on one side, I have sisters in Christ who are thanking me and loving me for what I do and say, and other people I love who are not followers of Christ getting mad at me and telling me I'm doing things wrong....I must be doing it God's way.

This is what I tell myself because it can become a battle of the mind.  The Bible tells me God is with me, all the time.  He gave us a Son who's name shall be called Emmanuel = God with us.  I love having scripture memorized because, when in my mind I am trying to figure things out, the Holy Spirit will bring to rememberance verses like we wrestle not against flesh & blood (people) but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Eph 6:12

It is hard for my flesh but Romans 12:18 tells me, if it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.  OK Lord, I will do my absolute best.  I will love like You love and I will not compromise what Your word says and tells me to do.  When we read God's word we are accountable because we cannot claim ignorance.  Therefore, I will continue to fight against the principalities and powers that come against me.  satan wants to wear me down and as soon as he starts to, I am thankful for the Holy Spirit who brings to rememberance God's word to me and Godly friends who help me keep the faith and know who God is.  (yes I know I didn't capitalize the s in satan, I don't feel he deserves one.)  :)

So just remember that loving God makes hell interested in you.  But we can withstand the fiery darts of the wicked, by taking the shield of faith everyday.  Eph 6:16  It can be hard, but we must endure the battle, because we know in the end Good will overcome Evil.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  Eph 6:13

If you are one of my sisters in Christ, thank you.  Thank you for loving me and helping me see things thru God's eyes.   I am so thankful to have a Godly husband who is so full of grace and wisdom he helps me immensely.  I don't know how I could walk through this journey alone.

BAD Business Diamond Parking Services

Last month we went to Seattle for our yearly weekend vacation.  We go and see the AMA Supercross, hit a bunch of fun restaurants that we have seen on Man vs Food and Top 10 Best etc.  Well we know where we like to park because it was great parking last year.  Only $10 and there was plenty of room for our crew cab with our camper.  This year we went early and that lot was all taken, so, we parked across the street at 1 pm for $20.  No problem.  Our event started at 7 pm but we got to walk around the pit area for awhile before hand.  When we left approximately at 10 pm we get out to our pick up and find that everyone in the parking lot had gotten a ticket.

A ticket?!?!  Apparently we were suppose to be out of there by 5 pm.  Hmmm, we weren't told that and the $43 parking ticket was a big grey cloud.  We had to pay that $43 within two weeks or the price went up to $73.  We saw a post on the side of the building saying there would be parking tickets and all the rules and details that go along with it.  Now apparently we couldn't get out of it.  So we got home and later that week I wrote a check, but before I mailed it, my husband decided to call the company that sold us the parking to complain.  Lo and behold she asked for the ticket # that we had gotten and told him it was taken care of.  We had ASSUMED that it was a city parking ticket, but no.  You've got it, the parking people lure you in for $20 then give you a ticket for $43.  WOW!  Good thing my adorably smart husband called and complained.

So here is a picture of the company so that you can mark and avoid them whenever you are parking in Seattle around CenturyLink Field or the Marineers Baseball Field.  I still love capitalism though.  Just beware.

Growing my heart

My nephew is here visiting for a couple of weeks.  I cried tears of joy when I saw him at the airport and got to hug his huge 6' 3+" frame.  This "little" guy has had a special place in my heart as he was the first one to make me an Auntie.  Funny how you can love nephews and neices just as much as your own children.  I hate that all my family is so far away from us, as I would love my children to grow up with family and have great memories, but we don't.  So we have adopted families, whom I love almost as much as my own flesh and blood.  You know who you are!  I really am a hard, tough gal, but once you get through, you will see that I get teary-eyed just as much as the softest person.  I know my heart is going to break when my baby Brad goes home, but until then, I am going to enjoy every moment and spoil him like he is one of my own.  Because he is 1/2 me, almost.  :)
